Are we the Body?
Are we really part of the Body of Christ? Or have we simply become librarians of the faith waiting patiently behind the Reference Desk for visitors to ask for the help we know they need. What does it mean to you to be part of the Body of Christ?
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13
Do we worship in storehouses of Grace, dusting off the books, pews and memories of "the way things used to be"? All the while a new generation is bored with our consumer lifestyle and longs to be part of something more. Something we once knew. What does it mean to be part of the Body of Christ to you? I’d like to hear your answers….

Steve,
It’s simple- The Church needs to leave the building and “go” evangelizing. The church has to create connection opportunities to “go” to meet and love outside the church. How? Outreach opportunies to serve others have to be created and prioritized. Looking at everyone with His lenses, and start seeing those around us “as someone that Christ died for” (we are all that important). This is will revolutionize the church and every relationship in and outside of the church. Every person you know becomes so “valuable” that you treat them and love them with the highest amount of care. That’s what he means by “love your neighbor as yourself”
Thanks Steve for the reminder!
Brian, Thanks for your comments. I believe that if the church is not looking outward at the needs of the world, then it will be looking inward at the needs of congregation. Why do you think the church has forgotten its call to Make Disciples and What do you think we can do to rekindle the fire for sharing our faith and hope in Jesus Christ?
