There are many times that I am “my own worst enemy,” and times that grief gets the better of me; but I try, most times, to remember the song lyric, “Smile and the world smiles with you; cry and you cry alone”…and that’s what I choose to do, “…smile with and encourage others, no matter what, to smile…and then…cry alone.”
…but when you come right down to it, it’s not how I describe myself that is important; it’s how other people see me and if in the process of them being around and with me or me being around and with them, do they see what God wants me to be to them and for Him: His “salt and light.”

Does my dog count? Remember the word “dog” is “God” spelled backwards. That in itself speaks a lot about the two “beings” with whom I spend most of my time.

There are people with whom I spend time, especially in and through God’s most Holy Word, whom I admire, respect, appreciate, and honor; and those are the ones who are “the voice in my head and the voice in my heart.”
