Finding Your Life Mission
Impressive Title don't you think? I bet it got your attention, because most people hunger for a Life Mission that profound and transforming, but really haven't found one that captures their imagination or especially their heart. A Brewed Awakening is about trying to ask the questions that awaken this mission within, providing helpful advice to those willing to take the adventure and the challenge, and encouragement for the inevitable stumbles, climbs and disappointment that will come. If you're up to it, let's begin...
What is your mission in life? Don't get frustrated at this point, only make the decision to find it. Let's consider the following. Let's assume you know how to read (otherwise the rest of this blog is irrelevant), you are relatively healthy, whole person mentally, physically and emotionally, and let's also assume you feel a nudge, a stirring or even perhaps an desire for more that you can't quite describe.
Let's play with that for a moment. Do you think fish, deep in the ocean, have a stirring for something more than water? It is there world and I doubt they long for another world. Yet we all seem to be looking for another world we can't describe or are even sure exist, but we desperately hope it does. We love stories of adventure, stories of romance, stories where the hero rides in and set to right all that is wrong with the world. We love these stories because we hope they're true, we want them to be true and to some extent we need them to be true. This is the spiritual side of life we don't normally pay attention to, but I'm convinced its the key we've been looking for.
Think about this for awhile:
"Lift up your eyes. The heavenly Father waits to bless you — in inconceivable ways to make your life what you never dreamed it could be." Anne Ortlund

“Yet we all seem to be looking for another world we can’t describe or are even sure exist, but we desperately hope it does.”
…I can’t not ask…
Why?
Why, do we “keep looking for another world”?
Why, do we “desperately hope that it does”?
