Many children go through life trying to fit in, trying to be like everyone else while hiding their special undiscovered gifts God gave them at their birth. How tragic.
Mediocrity is the Beast that creates cowards of many lives. Our Goal at First United Methodist Church is to inspire children to believe in God, the Almighty, the Champion of the Universe and thus to believe they too have a special calling and mission in life.
The Dragon of Mediocrity speaks work like....
You're not pretty enough...
You're not smart enough...
You're not strong enough...so just give up and resign yourself to second place.
Until a child says "Not so! I'm am more than this." They will remain a child, emotionally and spiritually if not mentally and physically.
