No one really wants to live a life that is so soft it there is no adventure, no stretching, no discovery and no challenge. A life that is all softsoap and wishful thinking is empty of any real depth or the spark of imagination, creativity and spirit. Of course, no one wants to be pummeled by relentless guilt, unobtainable standards, or expectations so high they board on oppression. Yet it is the high mountains that challenge the human soul to climb them, the unexplored that creates adventurers, and the expansive night sky that creates dreamers.  (1) Where is your challenge? What activity is challenging you, inspiring your, inviting you to grow and explore life on a grander scale? This means putting down the remote one day a week, and making a commitment to get started. There is so much to explore these days that's right at your on-line fingertips.   (2) What are you steps? Everyone has to begin somewhere? Get on line and explore websites like LifeHacker that will help you explore all kinds of things. Find what pushes one of your buttons, search it, learn it and share it. (3) Keep it Quiet. Don't go announcing to the world that you're going to climb Everest. You may only be after the affirmation rather than the exercise and the experience. Let yourself have a secret passion that makes you you. Growing without crowing is a sure sign of maturity and confidence. I want a faith that is both challenging, engaging and provoking me to move beyond what I can see and what I now know. This is my calling, my mission and my future.
